Building a brighter and better future for the next generation starts with a strong foundation.
Doornkloof Combined School learners were very luck yesterday, the 24th May 2022, to be visited by the hournarable Mayor for Mpofana LM, her Worship Cllr. TM Magubane, during her school's campaign.
She addressed and motivated the learners on two occasions, viz. the first one being on the Assembly Yard, where all learners were present and secondly, on the school's mini hall, where, her motivational address, targeted only the girls.
On the latter occasion, she even promised to have lunch with those who are currently doing matric, in one of the hotels like Golden Horse, which made the girls to depict their excitement by screaming in the room.
She was accompanied by the Local Aids Council Co-chair, Mr. Ndoda Wiseman Khumalo.
She later, together with the Co-chair and Educator Assistant, handed over, the Sanitary Packs, to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged girls.
The Principal of the school, conveyed gratitude, on behalf of both the girls and the school, and eventually pleaded the hournarable Mayor to visit the school quarterly to render the similar activity. The Principal eventually cited that such a motivation from the person of her caliber, will turn around the lives of many school's children.
